This is used on the Bay State Somerville recording instrument but making it a multi-scale turns it into another instrument altogether. Deep bass but not overpowering the crystal clear trebles. And lastly, but most importantly, the instrument is french polished which is a very thin finish. About .001” thick as compared to conventional lacquer at .005” inch. It really makes a difference in the sound!
